That was one hell of a speech. I've never seen anything like it.

After an African-American news anchor (an anchor I watched for years back in Detroit) broke down and started crying on the air, I nearly lost it myself.

Whether or not Obama can deliver the goods remains to be seen. Right now, it's irrelevant. It's not about him.

I just watched my country - a country only 54 years removed from segregation - elect a black president.

Holy shit.

I miss Detroit tonight.
